Are you a candidate for implants?

If you’re healthy enough to have a tooth extracted, you’re probably healthy enough to have an implant – whether your missing teeth are the result of injury, disease, or decay. General good health and adequate bone in the jaw are the key requirements. Dr. Casey can tell you if implants are right for you.

    Bone Grafting Procedures

When teeth are lost due to previous extractions, decay, periodontal disease or trauma, the bone that supported these teeth may begin to atrophy, resorb and degenerate.

This bone may now be too thin or may result in poor quality and quantity of bone suitable for placement of dental implants. In the past, these patients would not be candidates for placement of dental implants.

Today, we have the ability to grow or graft bone where needed. This allows us to place implants of proper length and width, it gives you, the patient better function and esthetics.

The bone is either obtained from a tissue bank or your own bone is taken from the jaw, hip or tibia (below the knee.) Bone Graft

Maxillary Sinus Lift and Bone Graft

A Maxillary Sinus lift can be performed to assist in creating more room for an implant to be placed in the back of upper jaw. In addition, guided bone regeneration or guided tissue regeneration may be performed. This procedure utilizes a special membranes that dissolves under the gum tissue to protect the bone graft and encourage new bone regeneration. Sinus Lift

      Testimonials

Dr. Casey and his team helped my husband thru a difficult time. My husband was petrified of surgery and neglected his teeth. Dr. Casey and his team crated a treatment plan that was affordable. My husband was put to sleep and had extractions of 10 teeth and 10 implants and bone grafts done the same day. I can't rave enough.. he had tenderness and mild discomfort for about 3 days and then totally fine! So glad we found Blue Wave surgery and Dr. Casey.
